Proud to Contribute to Florida’s Award-Winning Magazine

One of my proudest moments this year was seeing my work published in Flamingo Magazine, recently named Florida’s Best Magazine of the Year. As a contributing illustrator, I had the honor of bringing storm chasers to life for this powerful feature.

The story itself was compelling, but there was one challenge, good photos of the chasers were hard to come by. That’s when our creative team turned to me for a solution. Instead of relying on grainy references, I illustrated the storm chasers and gave the portraits a grungier, raw approach, something that echoed the grit, danger, and determination that defined their story. It was a way to capture the mood to complement the intensity of the article itself.

As an artist, it means so much to contribute not just visuals, but storytelling that deepens the reader’s experience. To be part of this award-winning publication, working alongside such a talented team, fills me with pride.
