An Illustrated Collection
by Jules Ozaeta
This online exhibition is a collection of limited-edition digital illustrations inspired by traditional Filipino embroidery, reimagined beyond the garment and into the realm of visual storytelling.
Historically, Filipino embroidery especially on piña cloth was reserved for special occasions: weddings, ceremonies, formal attire. Through these digital illustrations, I hope to expand where this beauty can live, not just in what we wear, but in what we remember and display.
Each piece draws from different points in our history: pre-colonial motifs, colonial-era, diasporic identity, and the intimate textures of home and heritage. These works are stitched not with thread, but with history—each line an homage to craft, culture, and love for country.
Printed on moab fine art paper in collaboration with Gallery 725, each artwork is offered in a signed, numbered limited edition.

I hope these pieces spark recognition, reflection, and reconnection. - Jules
